Dialysis Dashers
About
Cam was fit, focused, and living life with purpose when he was unexpectedly diagnosed with vasculitis: a rare and aggressive autoimmune condition. Within days, his kidneys failed. What followed was months in hospital, fighting for stability, adjusting to a new reality, and learning to live with dialysis. It was brutal. It was humbling. And it was life-altering.
But it wasn’t the end of his story.
Today, he is dialysis-dependent and waiting for a kidney transplant. But he refused to let this define him. Instead, him and his mates have set a bold challenge: to break the world record for the fastest marathon run by a dialysis patient. Yes, you read that right. While most people on dialysis are told to slow down, Cam has chosen to speed up, literally.
This isn’t just about him. It’s about showing what’s possible when you refuse to be limited by circumstance. It’s about raising awareness for kidney disease, vasculitis, and the thousands of people who live with chronic illness every day. And it’s about proving that resilience, grit, and hope can carry us further than we ever imagined.
They are raising funds to support this journey, with all proceeds going to Kidney Care, and advocacy efforts to inspire others facing similar battles. Every donation helps them push forward, not just toward the finish line, but toward a future where illness doesn’t mean isolation, and where determination can rewrite the rules.
Thank you for believing in us. Let’s make history together.
